Cape Town International Airport

Cape Town International Airport is South Africa's second largest airport and a prime tourism gateway.

The Western Cape is one of this country's major tourist destinations, and Cape Town International Airport prides itself on the role it plays in the region. The airport is often the visitor's first encounter with South Africa, and we strive to achieve and maintain world-class levels of service excellence.

The airport has seen strong and consistent growth in both passenger volumes and aircraft movements since 1994, resulting in an increasing demand for the constant upgrading of services and facilities. Aircraft movements now exceed 60,000 per annum. Projections see the total number of passengers at Cape Town International increasing from 5 million in 2003, to 6.5 million by the year 2004, and to 14 million by 2015. Cargo throughput at the airport has also increased substantially and shows continued growth.
